From this we converted it into a fully fledge, off-grid, drivable coffee truck. The Defender has been part of the fleet since January 2024 when it had its first private booking for Casualty on BBC One, since then it has done private bookings for Western Global, BMW and many others. The Defender adds a completely different look compared to the classic Citroen HY Van.

As part of the conversion, we added solar panels, gas bottles, leisure batteries and a 75L freshwater tank and the engine was upgraded to a TD5 engine. All these features make it off grid and ready to go, a much better drive than the Citroen HY Van makes it easier to move during a booking allowing locations crews to have us at different settings. The coffee machine used on this truck is a Fracino Contempo, allowing us to make barista coffee.

The footprint is approximately 2 M wide x 5m Long x 2.5M high.
